Between The Covers returns for a 4th series in May with host Sara Cox
This seven-part series will follow the same pattern as the previous ones, with the goal of bringing the country together through the love of reading. Sara's book club of four prominent guests will each bring their own book and discuss a newly released book in each episode. The seven books that were chosen are listed below.
The additional book selections will come from the BBC Arts and The Reading Agency's Big Jubilee Read, a reading for pleasure programme that celebrates excellent reads from around the Commonwealth in honour of Her Majesty The Queen's Jubilee.
All of the books for Between The Covers were chosen with care to ensure that there is something for everyone and that they would elicit lively discussion.
The seven newly-published book picks (in broadcast order) are:
People Person, by Candice Carty-Williams
Two Storm Wood, by Philip Gray
Lessons In Chemistry, by Bonnie Garmus
Love Marriage, by Monica Ali
Metronome, by Tom Watson
Exactly What You Mean, by Ben HinshawThe Dictator's Wife, by Freya Berry
Sara Cox says: "I'm absolutely thrilled we are once again delving between the covers, bringing another selection of seven brilliant brand new books, as well as spanning the decades with seven books by talented authors from across the Commonwealth to celebrate the Jubilee. On a personal note, it still brings me endless joy that drinking tea and eating custard creams whilst curled up with a good book is considered 'work'. Bring it on."
