Beat the Chef will return for a brand-new, 30-part series. Stripped Monday to Friday, every day a new, skilful amateur is cooking to win up to £10,000 as they go head to head against one of four professional chefs in two fast paced cook-offs. Presenter and restaurateur Andi Oliver hosts the culinary combat and the four house chefs to beat are: award-winning Mark Sargeant; Roux Scholar, Frederick Forster; Executive Chef, Sophie Michell and Michelin starred, Hrishikesh Desai.
In each of the two rounds a food jury blind tastes both the home cook's and the professional chef's dish, to vote on which they prefer. Round One is the 'Contestant's dish', where the amateur must win votes to put cash in the prize pot. In round two, 'Chef's dish', they must then predict their number of votes to win up to £10,000. But fail to get enough votes and they walk with nothing!
