REVIEW: Murders & Mistresses (2026 Video Game) - on PC Steam

Murders & Mistresses is an adult visual novel with a surprisingly detailed detective game underneath. Its five cases cover murders, kidnappings and hostage situations, while Story Mode and Detective Mode offer different levels of investigation. The ability to form theories, decide who you believe is guilty and live with the consequences gives the game considerably more substance than expected.

The adult content is extensive, with more than 40 scenes, 145 animations and three marriage paths, while the branching flowcharts make replaying chapters worthwhile. It also looks good and offers around eight to twelve hours for a playthrough, with the complete game available from launch. A non-adult version could have opened the strong investigative side to a wider audience, but for players comfortable with its adult content, this is a surprisingly well-rounded detective visual novel.
